I try to re-organize myself every fall by cleaning up my desk and buying myself a few fun new office accessories to keep motivated. I am having a hard time letting go of summer, so I can’t think of a better wake-up call then these bright pops of color that are around the marketplace right now. When I saw Andreas Samuelsson’s print it made me want to go back to elementary school and start playing with Spirographs. Poppin is a great company that has a variety of office basics in a rainbow assortment of colors. They were kind enough to send me this red notebook and these ballpoint pens which I love and have been happily using since. (Thanks, Poppin!) Good luck getting back to the grind!

Brides to be can keep rejoicing with the brand new Decor collection that just launched at BHLDN. Tucker by Gaby & John Derian coming to Target

While i remain conflicted about Target making it hard for independent retailers to compete with their great design and low prices, I am always excited to see their collaborations with established designers. Next month, I am looking forward to Tucker by Gaby Besora and John Derian. My talented friend, Remy, designed some of the prints in the Target collection, as well as other Tucker prints.

John Derian is available on September 5th and Tucker is available on September 12th. Grab it fast because their designer collections sell out quickly. Gilt did a premier of these 2 collections on Friday and it sold out within 2 hours.

utilitarian is all the rage, and bags and totes are getting a makeover in canvas mixed with leather. menswear is really crossing over to womenswear as well, and the mix of masculine with vintage details makes such a winning combination.

I spend more time sitting at my desk in front of a computer then I would really care to admit. Sitting here, I contemplate how I could dress the space up a bit and make it a little easier to spend time here. It is desperately needing a grown-up makeover, and if money was of no concern, here are some of my dream picks.

i finally got the chance to visit tauk in montauk while visiting the east end last month. best friends/former models marylynn and staci founded tauk with their combined interest in home decor & accessories. nestled among t-shirt tourist shops, lies their breezy shop oozing with modern beachcomber style. their knack for pairing beautiful objects amongst textiles and original artwork makes for some truly stunning displays. this woven towel is a perfect summer accessory. use it for a beach picnic or as a sarong with its terry lined interior. tauk also collaborates on interior design projects with select clientele.
